Having previously danced each performance of Antigone himself, Ek finally saw the work as member of the audience and, in so doing, decided to rework the piece. Almost ten years later, in 1988, a renewed version of the original was premiered by Stuttgart Ballet under the title Som Antigone (Like Antigone).
