She began her professional journey in jazz musical theater in 2008, in Rio de Janeiro, and soon transitioned into contemporary performing arts, collaborating with artists such as Deborah Colker and Esther Weitzman.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, she moved to Portugal, where she joined the Kale Companhia de Danc\u0327a and worked as a freelance artist with various creators, including Renan Martins, Carlota Lagido, Ana Rocha, Jo Castro, Marco da Silva Ferreira, Ca\u0303o Danado, Ballet Contempora\u0302neo do Norte, Mara Andrade, Je\u0301ro\u0302me Bel, Davis Freeman, Allan Falieri, Luiz Antunes &#8211; Heurtebise, Rita Vilhena, Yael Karavan, among others.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Thamiris joined Dance Theater Heidelberg in Germany under the artistic direction of Iva\u0301n Pe\u0301rez, performing with the company until 2024.<\/p>\n<p>As a creator, Thamiris has developed a range of projects, including <em>Corpo de Encontro<\/em> &#8211; work in progress sharing practices, with Teresa Fabia\u0303o and Sara Silva, the artistic grant <em>ESTRUME<\/em>, with Fogo Lento Associac\u0327a\u0303o Cultural, <em>THERE&#8217;S NO THEM<\/em> with Agathe Juvenez, <em>BETON<\/em> with Sara Silva and Vinicius Ferreira, <em>TEIA<\/em> with Tome\u0301 Capa and Ca\u0303o Danado, and her solo work, golden numbers \u2013 o ini\u0301cio do fim.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond her artistic practice, Thamiris holds a degree in Cultural Production from Universidade Ca\u0302ndido Mendes (RJ, 2013) and in Communication Sciences from Universidade Luso\u0301fona do Porto (PT, 2019).<\/p>\n<p>Thamiris joined the ensemble of Cullberg in 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thamiris Carvalho (Rio de Janeiro &#8211; BR, 1991) is a contemporary dance artist and performer, driven by a passion for movement and a deep curiosity about the diverse interactions dance can create.
