{"id":4015,"date":"2018-01-19T13:40:49","date_gmt":"2018-01-19T13:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cullbergbaletten.se\/?post_type=personal_portraits&#038;p=4015"},"modified":"2024-11-12T09:09:09","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T09:09:09","slug":"dario-barreto-damas","status":"publish","type":"personal_portraits","link":"https:\/\/cms.cullberg.com\/en\/personal_portraits\/dario-barreto-damas\/","title":{"rendered":"Dar\u00edo Barreto Damas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Born 1993 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Dar\u00edo\u00a0Barreto Damas started dancing at Espacio Cultural Victoria, Tenerife. \u00a0For two years he studied the Grado Superior de Danza, Coreograf\u00eda e Interpretaci\u00f3n, at Institut del Teatre, Barcelona, directed by Alexis Eupierre.\u00a0In 2014, Dar\u00edo started his\u00a0studies at DOCH, University of Dance and Circus in\u00a0Stockholm, under the\u00a0Bachelor of Dance and Performance, directed by Anna Grip and Kristine Slettevold.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00edo started as an apprentice at Cullbergbaletten in 2015 and has since then worked with Cullbergbaletten on different projects. He has been part of the creation and production of <em>Figure a sea<\/em> by Deborah Hay and <em>Protagonist<\/em> by Jefta Van Dinther. Dar\u00edo has also performed in <em>11th floor<\/em> by Edouard Lock and he\u00a0is a part of the project <em>Entities, theatre of gestures<\/em> by Mirko Guido. Dar\u00edo has\u00a0worked by the side of Cristina Caprioli with the production <em>A Line_up<\/em>. In the summer of 2017 Dar\u00edo was granted the DanceWEB Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014\u00a0Dar\u00edo is making his own work. His last one plays around fantasy, illusion, a licking shiny glitter-ish ego, utopian-dreamy spaces and meaning transformation. Dar\u00edo is at the moment focusing on co-authorship works together with Aleksandar Georgiev and Zhana Pencheva.
